Malcolm's Interest in Scotland
My interest in Scotland's landscape and Photos of
Scotland was
initiated by camping trips on the west coast as a boy with black and
white photos recorded on a Kodak 127 bakelite camera.
Photography has always been a hobby and when I took up hill walking in
1988 it led to me"compleating" the 284 "Munros" and thus gaining an
intimate knowledge of the country's best scenery.
Over the ten years that it took to climb all the major hills in Scotland
I took literally thousands of coloured slides of Scotland but I had
always wished for a panoramic medium format camera to do the
amazing landscape justice.. Two years ago I acquired a Fuji Gx 617
medium format panoramic camera and since then I have re-visited all the
places, that I am familiar with, to take photos of Scotland's Country's
diverse range of scenery.
Malcolm Scott Webster Limited Prints
Apart from recording Scotland on film, I have produced a series of
limited edition prints off the watercolours that I have painted of some
of these views. Having travelled extensively in Europe, Canada and
America to see the famous landscapes, known world-wide, I can
confidently say that Scotland can hold it's own with any of them! It is
my aim to promote the best that Scotland has to offer and introduce the
delights to a larger audience through my prints and hopefully attract
people to visit these areas to experience them for themselves.
